Leading brewer, Guinness Nigeria has re-launched the TV campaign for its major brand ,Guinness Foreign Extra stout, following the easing of the covid-19 lockdown in the country.
The advertising campaign as most of the brand’s advertising in recent years is tied to football.
The ad opens to an ice-cold bottle of Guinness breaking a drop of water from its ice then pans to a striker on the football field also breaking a drop of sweat as he scores a goal.
Then, of course, the celebrations goes with Guinness for the fans. The ad is airing on several TV channels including Supersports/DSTV ,Channels, among others.
Guinness would have more to worry about now with recent launch of Trophy Stout by longstanding rival, International Breweries, IBL. The brewer, a subsidiary of world’s largest brewer, In BevAB launched Trophy Stout in April, under the country’s covid19 pandemic lockdown.it has followed through with a TV flick ,partnering with popular music artiste,2Baba to promote the new brand extension.
Sources say Guinness would soon launch a more aggressive promotional campaign for its leading brand, Guinness Foreign Extra Stout.
