Coca Cola Starts Calorie Count on Each Can

Perhaps in response to growing consumer health concerns, Coca Cola, the world’s leading beverage company has announced plans to put calorie content information on every can of the company’s soft drink products.

This is expected to provide a reliable guide to consumers who are concerned about the amount of calorie that they take in when they drink Coke and several other Coca Cola brands. Farid Zakaria, anchor GPS, CNN spoke with CEO of Coca Cola on Sunday, May 26, 2013. On the reason why the food and beverage company was moving the move, Coca Cola CEO said “ Obesity is a complex global problem. We are a 127-year young company and we want to be part of the solution.”

He adds: “Naturally, there is much to be made from energy space science. Taking calories is more fun that expending calories.”

Zakaria: Looking down the line in next 10 years will Coke change? Coca Cola CEO: “what is important is to understand that all calories count. We currently have 3,500 products, but there is a place for all our products in a healthy living space.”
