Leading GSM network operator ,Glo has dropped some of its Nollywood celebrity who are on its brand ambassador A-List. They include top actress and producer Rita Dominic, actor Mike Ezuronye, Monalisa Chinda, Nonso Diobi, Uche Jumbo and Ramsey Nouah.
Over the past five years ,Glo has favoured Nollywood stars as its brand ambassadors. But the GSM operator has since decided to be juggling the list periodically perhaps, in a bid to keep it fresh.
Those that made the latest Globacom list include other star actors as Chioma Chukwuka-Akpota, Ini Edo-Ehiagwina, Funke Akindele and Desmond Elliot. Akindele was recently in the news over the break up of her short-lived marriage to a successful real estate developer.
It is yet unclear if the negative press from her divorce would affect her position as Glo ambassador .This is in spite of her recent fame derived from the successes of her most recent flicks, Jenifa and its sequel, Jenifa 2.
Glo faces a tough market with strong competitors and constantly has to come up with fresh ideas and strategies to compete effectively.
