Joan Ihekwaba has returned to UAC Foods as marketing director. Ihekwaba until her recent re deployment had been the UAC Group’s marketing communications manager. The savvy marketer returns to her old job at the foods division of the conglomerate after three years at headquarters.
Ihekwaba had been marketing director of UAC Foods which included its restaurants chain, Mr Biggs until early 2010 when she moved to Niger House, UAC’s HQ in Lagos. While at UAC Foods, Ihekwaba managed brands such as Nandos, and Pizza Hut, under the Mr Biggs partnership with these South Africa food brands.
Now, Ihekwaba returns to familiar territory at UAC Foods although several reorganizations undertaken by the conglomerate since 2010 may have removed several brands from her purview to UAC Restaurants which appears to be a separate business unit.
Still, Ihekwaba would have direct control over such popular food brands as Gala and UAC coconut chips, Supreme Ice Cream, among others.
